Classroom Rug

I was in desperate need of a carpet with squares or colored dots.  So, I went out and bought a plain green rug....with the help of my mom (a wonderful artist), a new classroom rug was made.  It was much cheaper than lakeshore and other stores!!  All we needed to make the rug was colored paint and tape.  Yay!!  I love it!  Perfect size for Kinder kids.  It has survived a year so far....and the rug is still holding up!

I found this at Michael's for around $34 or $35 after 40% discount and teacher discount!  I am going to use this for teacher made math centers and file folder math centers.  I am going to label each bin by math topic, such as geometry, patterns, measurement, number concepts, etc.

I have been reading Debbie Diller's book on math workstations.  I am so excited to try this in my classroom this year.

Great Target Finds!

I am going to use this green hanging hamper to put stuffed animals in.  It was only $2.50 in the Target Dollar Spot area.  I was hoping that it was going to be only dollar.  Oh well!  Still, it is not too bad of a price.
